88improv Presents: Epic Improv - featuring Tracie Mauk and Zach Short.
With hand-drawn backgrounds, an improvised musical score and 88improv's proven comedy, Epic Improv is the only show of its kind within a thousand miles. When 88improv started in 2003, our goal was to raise the bar of comedy. We wanted to be the goal standard of improv. After ten years and hundreds of performances we have learned that that audiences are smart and want to be surprised, especially at a comedy show. Epic Improv does exactly that.
Each performance will be totally unique and, if we do our job correctly, will leave the audience amazed. Our goal is to create a complete story, like a short funny play, based on pre-show tweets using #88ideas.
Tracie Mauk, an accomplished comic book artist and phenomenal improviser in her own right, will create hand-drawn backgrounds that will be projected behind our team as we perform. We can interact with these backgrounds or simply let them bring more life and imagination to the story. At the same time, Zach Short, a brilliant guitarist and song-writer, will be providing a musical score to accentuate the story.
88improv Presents Epic Improv will be more like a movie than an improv show. We've been doing this for ten years and have never seen this type of improv show before so we are sure it is new for Omaha and we are sure it will be epic!
Tickets are available online at 88improv.com or at the door the night of the show. Please share this poster or share the Facebook event with your Midwest Friends.
