コイントスの先行研究はいくつかある。確率が等しくなるように作られているサイコロとは違い、コインはコイントスのために作られた訳ではなく、表裏が区別できる以上非対称なのだから非自明な性質がある方が自然。ただし、サイコロの先行研究もある（笑）。
