There’s a nasty irony to this scene. This poor girl is making an escape attempt directly underneath the site of her future self’s death.

She’s going to fail. She’s already failed.

This is him, isn't it? The universe is running out of time, so the true villain is starting to make himself known.

English is so damn IMPORTANT that even his Exile commands are supercharged.

I think this scene deserves its own score, to properly illustrate the feeling it evokes. In my head, I think this is what accompanies English's grand entrance into the story.

I guess he is just a limp lifeless puppet when I am around. Like a reverse Calvin and Hobbes kind of thing.

Ultimately, all of Homestuck’s characters are facets of Hussie - but as a narrator, Scratch is even more of a facet than the others. If Hussie and Scratch were to have a conversation, it’d be a little too obvious that we're just watching Hussie talk to Evil Hussie, and all of Scratch's menace would dissipate on the spot.

Doc Scratch’s aura simply can’t survive contact with the person who wrote him - so if Hussie wants that aura to survive, the two must never interact.

The Milky Way’s big sister

This image taken by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope’s Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC3) shows a beautiful spiral galaxy called NGC 6744. At first glance, it resembles our Milky Way albeit larger, measuring more than 200 000 light-years across compared to 100 000 light-year diameter for our home galaxy.

NGC 6744 is similar to our home galaxy in more ways than one. Like the Milky Way, NGC 6744 has a prominent central region packed with old yellow stars. Moving away from the galactic core, one can see parts of the dusty spiral arms painted in shades of pink and blue; while the blue sites are full of young star clusters, the pink ones are regions of active star formation, indicating that the galaxy is still very lively.

In 2005, a supernova, named 2005at, was discovered within NGC 6744, adding to the argument of this galaxy’s liveliness (not visible in this image). SN 2005at is a type Ic supernova, formed when a massive star collapses in itself and loses its hydrogen envelope.
