40 Days of Halloween! 🎃 Day 36: Bela Lugosi 🦇 Frankenstein may've had the more tragic story, but as for the most famous actors playing the parts, most know Bela Lugosi's story was certainly more tragic than Karloff's. There's really no disputing that he wasn't the actor Karloff was, and he made many decisions that didn't not help his career as well- but he was absolutely not treated fairly by Hollywood, as well as deserved better recognition for many of the performances he did give. And remember, his performance as Dracula (which he made famous on Broadway) helped kick off the Universal Monster craze. The simple fact is, he had a charm and charisma, and no one else has ever or will ever be quite the same.
