40Q round two: Please answer 4, 9, and 12 (you may alter 12 to "which book" if you're talking about a literary fandom)
4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them?
Oh gods. Um, this is gonna be embarrassing. I’ve got at least 8 different fanfics going at various speeds and at different levels of completion. Then in the Original verses, I’ve got 3 different ideas. The one idea that’s currently taking over my life has been a FFXV Zombie Apocalypse AU with Prompto, Iris, and Talcott taking center stage, but it’s still stewing and I’ve only written a couple of disjointed scenes. Still, it won’t let me go.
9. Which fic has been the hardest to write?
Out of my solo works, Isolation. I lost motivation after the fourth chapter, and I’d planned it to be as long as its prequel, Alone, but I just couldn’t do it anymore. The story got bigger than I wanted to write and high school became too much. For almost a year in the middle of writing it I considered deleting it and fixing the last chapter of Alone so that it didn’t allude to a sequel.
rn, I’m trying my damnedest to finish a collaboration with a high school friend and it’s definitely in the running for hardest fic to write. I’ve literally been trying to beta the second to last chapter for almost 5 years now and I just can’t seem to make myself do it; we have such different writing styles and trying to find middle ground, plus the fact that she wrote almost 20,000 words for this ONE CHAPTER is just daunting.
12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more?
Not episodes, I watch TV to veg out and stop thinking. But I’m always inspired after reading any part of Lois Lowery’s The Giver Quatrain - particularly, Messenger or Son.
