“How did I end up in this obnoxiously loud city? I need to get home...”
“So I got accepted into NYU.” Bram said, giving a grin. “I’m still a little worried about how well this campus life thing is gonna go.”
Guitar in his hand, Simon strummed, enjoying the clear night and the relative quiet. He missed this, the calm where there was no storm on the horizon. At least right now. He sang softly as he did, losing himself in the music, ignoring everything around him.
“It’s odd to see more than just history kept in libraries in this city.” Loki mused, two books in his hand as he walked. “Such a variety of things to read, it;s as wonderful as it terrifying.”
“ i haven’t really left the apartment since i came. ” she speaks to the stranger in front of her , her eyes turned down , heartbeat racing out of her chest as she wipes her palms against her jeans ( death still hangs in her system , weighing her down ). she should’ve checked who she was talking to , she should look up to know , but they were the first person she sensed , and she doesn’t want anyone to recognize her ( would anyone even recognize her ). “ i don’t really know anyone ... but i want answers so where i can go to get some answers ? ” is this heaven ? is this hell ? why couldn’t she just stay dead ?
“I’m sorry, did you say something? I think I need to sleep - potentially for a few years. It’s been a long few weeks.” Magnus asked the person in front of him, not even registering who had spoken to him as he continued to look down at the floor.
He knew he had to leave the apartment sometime. Get out and do something. Make friends even if he was terrible at it. He wished someone was here with him. Abby, Nick, Leah, Nora..and of course him. That was something he wanted more than anything. But he had to resist the urge to wallow. He was alone. For now. And sitting in front of the apartment building, contemplating what he wanted to do, the last few oreos he had in a plastic bag in his lap, staring at the city. “This is all so much,” He whispered to himself, wondering what it was going to be like to start again. He wished he had his music with him, but he had left his headphones up in his apartment and so he had to settle for humming his favorites softly as he waited for the inspiration to strike for him to leave this new home and explore.
