Here are the magazines I bought a week or so ago from a local antique store:) They are mostly from 1943, (seems to be a common year around here) but there are a couple from '42 and '44. I paid just under $30 for them all. But there are still a few more at the store I need to get:P My dad thought I paid too much, but I checked them out on ebay, and just for the 6 that are on ebay it comes to a good deal more than $30! (not that I would sell them, just had to show dad I didn't throw my money away:P) Dad never thinks anything can be a good deal! XD

One of them, 'Daring Detective"  (top right) had a slip of paper inside, like just a torn piece of note paper. It has USO in the corner. And on it is writing (that matches the writing on the front cover), It looks like the lady was a newlywed as she appeared to be practicing her name and her husbands. According to what she had written he was a Staff Sergeant. Then there is also her doing the math of a bus ticket to Kentucky. I imagine all of these must have been hers. It was pretty cool to find that in there though! To think its been sitting in there for over 70 years!
