Starting my day with peace.
This morning I have woken up very peacefully. As we are on vacation this week I had no blaring alarm and was able to ease from sleep to half awake/half asleep to being actively engaged in my day. Today I am practing self care with a focus on being calm for better health. My blood sugar way too high this morning and though I am very tempted by those left over garlicky mashed potatoes I instead made a smoothie. I came out to the deck to practice meditation & gratitude. I began by listening to the Thursday Rosary on youtube to be honest I got halfway through and that was enough. I then put on todays meditation guide, I am currently listening to “Wherever You Go There You Are”. As I listen I am taking time to enjoy the sun, the breeze, stopping to enjoy the flavors in my smoothie and the cool crisp taste of my water. I know this is a vacation version of my self care but for today I am going to relish this moment of relaxation.
