November evaluation is most fun she had in ages, creating silly comedy skits and performing in silly costumes. From animal onesies to the performance she is about to do with Yooa wearing a somewhat cute pink dress with straw on the back along with strawberry hat too to represent strawberry milk. This was one of the cutest performances out of the bunch she was doing, personally her favorite too. It quite interesting on the fact the older one had to teach the younger one the art of aegyo, Yooa is naturally cute so it wasn’t a really difficult task in hand. The two females were already in full costume and head out onto center stage, Minhee happily waved, blowing kisses at her friends in the audience who were trainees and some trainers. The atmosphere was much lighter than usual due to it wasn’t about being serious and actually having a lot of fun.  It’s a truly refreshing type of evaluation, making her spirits fill renew.  Now, it’s time to be the cutest little strawberry milk carton while singing this adorable song and lift their spirits maybe make them giggle a little too. 

The female went in high energy mode as start bouncing on her toes as starts breaking into this cutesy choreography of Strawberry milk, the original unit was twins and Yooa does look somewhat similar in ways. The dance was simple yet cute, Minhee really delved deep in her aegyo on this one as she was the first one to start singing like a lovesick girl with cute motions to match the lyrics of the song in an adorable manner. In all honesty, she was having fun acting like a big baby playing around with silly aegyo actions and living the dream. It helps she had cute stage partner ( she said didn’t know how to be cute, ha. either she’s lying or minhee’s great teacher, she thinks the first is the most likely ) There was one thing she was worried about during the performance, she kept bouncing a lot like a vibrating machine and she was afraid her strawberry hat would fall off too. She actually loves this concept even though she giggling in the inside and the smile never faltered. Minhee felt this type of songs always put others in a good mood so it is a great idea to perform even if the costume idea is ridiculous too. In fact, her favorite part of the performance is when getting wiggle her bum in a cheeky manner in front of everyone. At the end of the day, she would do this song over and over performing beside Yooa too. Minhee squish her dear friend happily still feeling pumped afterward, what a good day.

Nigerian Blog Week 15

The most important quote of the week from, “Yinka, where is your huzband” is on page 355. It says, “Nana needs you.” During Nana's fashion show that finally happened, Yink and her mom were sitting together. It was a whole thing. There were cameras, lights, photographs, Big people, the who’s who. It was a real runway show. As Yinka, Ola, her mom and her aunt sit together talking and laughing, finally taking in the moment to acknowledge how far they've come. Yinka herself even said she would’ve never imagined herself here in this position, but the day has come. After a while of laughing and talking their other cousin Rachel comes from behind the curtain and says. guys “Nana needs you.” And immediately the cousins jump up and go to the backstage to tend to her needs.

I picked this as the most important quote of the week because this is a perfect example of how the people in this story. In my last blog I was saying how Yinka was really getting on my nerves because she wasn’t listening to anyone, she was missing the point. I wasn’t really understanding her when she said she wanted a man, but she only wanted him for the wedding. Then she spiraled into a really dark phase where she was looking for external validation from men, and she almost even went to lightning her own skin. I see that as really her lowest point. I think I talked about that in the last blog. Yinka finally started counseling. She finally listened to the people around her that were just trying to help her. She used to see it as like oh they are attacking me. They just don’t understand me. It's easy for them to say because they’re not in my shoes, but this week when she really took the time to follow what they were saying and listen to them, it helped her more than her just listening to herself. So that brings me back to the quote of the week because it just shows that everyone needs someone and everyone needs to talk to someone. Being in your head can really make you believe that you know what’s best and you can end up being too deep in your own thoughts. She went through a lot of breakthroughs in these couple of chapters, talking to her therapist, realizing that she is black and beautiful, no matter how dark she is, no matter her hair, no matter what it is. Love is not based on how beautiful you are, it's based on how much someone appreciates and loves you. That was really the lesson throughout these couple of chapters and I feel like the quote really shows that.
