it shouldn’t have been hot in the middle of winter, but the practice rooms started feeling like saunas at some point in their day. out of all the performances, theirs was probably the least dance-heavy considering most of it would be spent with twirling around the stage. still, as easy as it may seem, minseok couldn’t afford to slack on even a second of it.
his focus wasn’t only on the final part when the music decided to pick up, but the entire thing. he had no center part, but being the random trainee on the left who messed up the choreo could be devastating to him in the future. thankfully, shiah was there to help him, one of his dancing seniors — although she was talented in every area; truly someone to look up to. even more thankfully, it wasn’t lisa who he’d need to partner up at the start. as nice and talented as she was, there was no way he would be able to meet her in height after they put her in high heels.
the boy wiped the sweat from his forehead and then placed his hands on his knees. they had probably gone through the routine a million times already but minseok never wanted to stop. “should we go once again?” he asks, but his head is still down, eyes closed. his forehead is already damp again and it takes him some strength to lift his hand and wipe it off again. finally, he straightens his back again to look at his partner. due to the sweat, his bangs are a mess, but that’s the least of his worries right now. “sorry, did you say something?”
