not sure how to phrase it, plus freelancer might give us answers, but do you think the hitman world is now more paranoid about Murder Inc.s after the ICA leak? could authorities be investigating secret organizations around the world? and would that mean Diana and 47's business is extra careful about whom they come in contact with? I really hope the post-ICA world will be explored in the future!

Tbh I really doubt it, for several reasons:

ICA has links to governments and intelligence organisations all over the world, from the CIA to Interpol to the United Nations. No one in power is going to push for an investigation beyond what it takes to appease the media circus.

The ICA will 100% reform once the heat is off.

In real life, there are plenty of organised crime syndicates, and investigations rarely get far enough to touch the real power behind them.

47 and Diana will be careful anyway as that is simply the nature of their business, and now they have no ICA-backing to get them out of trouble if they need it. But 47 never incurred much if any blowback while working for ICA, so I doubt he'll do anything reckless.

Is there an official (or estimated) record of 47's hits in terms of a total amount? Or if there's a number for total confirmed kills while he was with the ICA?

Hey! You’d have to add up the targets from all his missions across the games :D That would still only give you a rough idea, as there are missions we aren’t told about (e.g. the years between Blood Money and Absolution) and missions in his earlier years before the ICA (some of which are in the comics) as well as personal missions.

But adding up the hits from the games would be a good start!

If 47’s price is one million per hit, how much of that do you think go to Diana and the ICA? Do you think the salary rate between agents and handlers differs much or do the ICA just collect like 30% of the fee the client pays and leaves the rest for each cell to decide how to split the money themselves?

I am very sure that 47's fee is just his fee.

Diana is salaried, and paid by the ICA rather than by individual clients. She is well-off and likely commands a very high salary, but I don't think she earns anywhere near what 47 makes. Aside from being an ICA employee, separating handler salaries from the contract fee makes it easier to ensure handlers aren't choosing contracts for personal gain.

To hire 47 these days, a client is probably charged anywhere from 2.5 to 3 million per hit, maybe more. The client pays the ICA directly. ICA take their cut, and place the agent's fee into a holding account. Once the mission is complete on 47's end, Diana releases his fee into his account.

To the extremely rich, 3 million isn't really that much to wipe someone powerful from the face of the Earth, especially when it's in a perfect accident that can never be traced back to them. And for those who aren't as rich or who don't care about the cleanest of kills, the ICA has plenty of lower-priced agents on offer.

oh I thought of another one, but your previous answer about being a ghost also covers that: the human shield ability was really cool in Blood Money, and also matched his.. unpleasant.. personality they gave him haha. would he use that as a last resort in public? do he and Diana have some kind of protocol for failure/compromised mission?

Personally I loooooove human shield, but I also do not believe it's canon for the same reason as before. I don't think he would ever allow himself to be in a situation where he would need to use it in public, at least. It's amateur, and 47 is always professional.

We know from canon that the ICA has protocols to handle blowback, clean-up, media manipulation etc. However, those protocols exist to protect the ICA from exposure, so I don't think operative safety is their priority in cases of mission failure. That is Diana's job. She has certainly gotten him out of tight spots in the past (sending a doctor to him in Paris, sending the car to get him out of Budapest, etc.) but it is rare, as 47 is careful and meticulous in his planning (and so is Diana). I think part of her mission planning includes being ready with aid should he need it.

might be a bit silly but does 47 use bullet distractions in canon (would those even work in real life?) or is that an in-game only thing? I assume he made every bullet count in his life bc they are expensive and he is just perfect like that.

Very unlikely imo, but not because of expense. 47 primarily uses accident kills in canon, so leaving bullet holes behind kind of defeats the purpose of being a ghost.

When Diana does things like borrow satellites or listen in on phone calls, does she run a software/app for that, have someone else on the team do it for her, or does she have the skills to do them manually?

In my opinion that is definitely an analyst’s job (though Diana likely knows how to do it if she needed).

As a handler (and a senior one, now), her role is running mission operations and managing 47. It’s her job to learn as much as possible about the target and the field of play (“know your enemy”) so her agent can execute the mission successfully.

She’ll be the one to put together a mission plan with 47 based on this knowledge, but the actual team of analysts will be the ones to do the manual work of info-gathering required (like tracking down Grey). Pretty much like real-life intelligence handlers and analysts work.

Now that she and 47 are working together alone, her job description just doubled 😂

What are 47's and Diana's post-mission routines like? (During regular ICA times)

I found it interesting that she says the money has been wired as soon as the targets are down, i assumed there would be lots of data reporting and paperwork involved on her side first.

I'd always assumed that was all done before 47 started a contract. Client background checks, target background checks, mission planning and recon, etc.

Once a contract is accepted, the client pays upfront. Then once the job has been verified as complete by the handler, the agent's fee is released into their account. Of course Diana has closing paperwork to do on her side, but for 47 it makes sense that his fee is paid when his job is finished.

If Diana made a mistake during a mission (i can't think of anything specific, perhaps giving misleading information, or a failed hack like in Dubai/Chongqing) would that strain 47's relationship with her? Or would he be understanding bc "it happens" and she's otherwise immaculate most of the time? I guess in the first few missions in their careers it would have been damaging, but after 20 years there's not much that could damage their trust in each other.

IF? That girl has made so many mistakes I bet 47 does his own fact-checking to make up for it
