When Diana does things like borrow satellites or listen in on phone calls, does she run a software/app for that, have someone else on the team do it for her, or does she have the skills to do them manually?
In my opinion that is definitely an analyst’s job (though Diana likely knows how to do it if she needed).
As a handler (and a senior one, now), her role is running mission operations and managing 47. It’s her job to learn as much as possible about the target and the field of play (“know your enemy”) so her agent can execute the mission successfully.
She’ll be the one to put together a mission plan with 47 based on this knowledge, but the actual team of analysts will be the ones to do the manual work of info-gathering required (like tracking down Grey). Pretty much like real-life intelligence handlers and analysts work.
Now that she and 47 are working together alone, her job description just doubled 😂
