He’s aware of the fact that Callen is not the most sociable person there is out there. At times, he even ponders whether talking to the agent is a good idea or if he’ll get snapped at, because with all the work piling up on his desk and all the calls he’s getting from work and university, Junmyeon is stressed too and getting annoyed or frustrated in his personal environment is something he cannot and does not want to afford. 

So when he sees the other slowly falling asleep, he keeps his mouth shut because Callen does look tired, and it’s not uncommon for the body to shut down the moment it gets to relax a little which immediately leads the younger to assume that the other has been missing out on rest for quite a while to slip into a comatose state this quickly. And funnily enough, even though he continues to watch the rise and fall of his chest, continues to listen to his steady breathing, Junmyeon himself does not manage to fall asleep although he can feel the fatigue lingering in his bones. “I should throw cold water over you to wake you up. Consider me a good friend for not doing it.”
