Yes it is true. Encyclopedia Dramatica is taking responsibility for hosting chanarchive.org, formerly 4chanarchive.org.

We cannot give a tentative date as to when this will all take place, but we can say that it will be happening soon. EDIT: Very soon.

EDIT:  We are doing this because we appreciate the years of entertainment that 4chan and 4chanarchive have brought. If it were not for them, ED would be full of LiveJournal bullshit.

The bottom line is that the Internet needs a site to host chan archives, and there already is one, so why not just keep using it?
