BF!4C design
yes i spedran one of these off despite the fact the SMP hasn't even started and we know NOTHING about this guy.

everyone thinks his character is cutieful. so, i'm rolling with that and making him a "pretends to be cute and harmless to lower your guard" type of rogue.
he's a slime, i imagine that means he can change shape as he wishes. he can have a different face and hairstyle whenever he feels like it. i also feel like his height and built can change slightly (not too much though because of like logic when it comes to not changing drastically in size/volume).
one of my general 4C headcanons is that he gets a bit deflated when upset and literally grows taller when excited. slight details of his appearance are always changing.
with this bf!4C drawing i intentionally drew his two faces slightly different. a more cutesy version with a rounder face and big sparkly eyes with visible aegyosal, and a more "classic roguish" version with sharper features and narrowed eyes.
mostly-black eyes make any character look drastically different. like with 4C (and also v!Pyro) even the difference between before and after coloring in the eyes makes it feel like a different character. also i feel giving 4C his regular Minecraft skin's fully black eyes plays up the "roguish" side a bit more but also doesn't remove the cutieful potential.
yeah i could not stop myself from making Lifesteal and FoCuS references with the frayed fringe on the cloak and the 4 on his chestplate. FoCuS is one of the best LSSMP teams ever, fight the wall. I wish we could get a FoCuS comeback even though by the nature of Lifesteal that's probably impossible.
with Lifestealers everyone talks about stealing hearts but a darker turn on that could be literally stealing hearts as in the organ. bf!4C can't steal minecraft hearts but he can steal other characters's internal organs.
honestly i just love the LifeSTEALer being a rogue.
i do not understand how his gloves are constructed.

karambit cool. the reason i even know that thing is called a karambit is because of SKZ. why.
idk why but i really felt the need to make his design both overcomplicated and rather asymmetrical. so, fancy utility belt with way too many things on it and a singular knee guard. maybe he lost the other knee guard in whatever incident caused the rips in his pants.
his knife sheath would be on his right side (behind what's visible in this drawing). idk what the belt pouch is for. coins/money, maybe? i'm sure a rogue would have some use for extra pockets. I was just sticking on details without really thinking about it.
i feel like we usually associate poisons with rogues so I gave him some splash potions. I do not know how minecraft splash potions are supposed to be de-pixelated into actual objects.

love weathering. so fun to just scribble all over the drawing.
i found a consistent strap motif i liked and stuck it all throughout his design. the belt, belt pouch, splash potion strap, glove straps, and boot straps all have it. the end of one strap narrows to a point which has a hook on the back, to grab onto the square buckle on the other end.
his boots design feels like a more logical version of the one I made for v!Drift, where the main issue I had was how weird the asymmetry between the inside & outside looked.
i put every character in chunky platforms/heels even when they probably shouldn't be. idk it just looks aesthetically satisfying to me. probably a consequence of too much callmespice.
that's all my yaps for this! might redo after a bit into the SMP when we actually have a clue of what the guy's like.
