Listening Act
Being Guided.
Being deprived of my vision made me realize how much i depend on my eyes.; not only because I’m and artist, but because i need my vision to navigate through space. Being blindfolded and guided was somewhat scary. You became very alert each step and also you become aware of your other senses. being blindfolded made me realize how difficult it is to trust people. That is why we hesitate of every step. through this act of being guided, you’re putting your well being on someone’s hands.
Being the guide
Being someone’s eyes is also very challenging. when you try to guide a blindfolded person, we have to be very mindful that every missed step could end up in an accident. Also we have to be very specific and clear about the instructions you give. Something important to do is encourage the other person to trust you and to let them know everything is OK
