Does anyone have any sleep remedies that they can share with me? My night terrors don’t seem to be improving’ an’ it’s startin’ to effect my ability to do ma job. Melatonin used to work, but it hasn’t been doin’ the trick lately.

Background: After a bad accident leaves this college lacrosse star dead, she is posthumously entered into the Respawn Program. Her body is used to test the effects of waiting to respawn and what it does to the human body. After seven days, she is resurrected using the respawn machine, much to her horror. Besides the obvious effects it had on her mental health, the only obvious side effects is the connective tissue issues she started having. She’s more or less double jointed in every joint she has.

She was shipped off to join Red Team for two reasons; 1). She couldn’t return to normal society due to her being legally dead and 2). The scientists who worked on her saw her strategic abilities as an asset to the team.

Weapons:

Tertiary: Lacrosse Stick

When held, x2 movement speed burst, 20 seconds max per charge

Quaternary: I.M.S (Intelligent Mapping System)

Small, flip phone sized divice

When charged, swipe up on the screen to activate the hologram mapping system.

It shows both red and blue players, and moves the hologram when the system is moved.

Some Rambles About a Couple of My TF2 OCs

Aka I’m sad and need serotonin

So Spotter, legal name Joaquin Rodriguez, is paired with my other Oc Strategist, Erilys Haven, and Sniper

Eirlys is 26, uses they/she pronouns, is bisexual with female preference, and is Irish/Scottish/Dutch.

Joaquin is 29, uses he/him pronouns, is pansexual, and is Mexican American.

Plus my personal headcanons for Sniper: he/they pronouns, omnisexual with male preference, Aboriginal.

I headcanon that Sniper has an extreme sensitivity to bright light as well as near and farsightedness, hence the glasses. Eri made sure her room in the base had dimming lights in the event that he sleeps over at her place. They’re also helping Joaquin outfit his room with the same type of lighting.

Eri’s main form of affection is food and they’ve made it her mission to learn how to make dishes from both of their cultures. They haven’t an ounce of color in her veins so this works with varying degrees of success.

Joaquin main form of affection is gift giving in the form of pebbling. He collects mostly shiny rocks and cool sticks he finds while out and about. Eri has made several pieces of jewelry out of what she’s been given and Sniper places most of their gifts on the dashboard of his camper.

While Eri’s first language is English, she also knows Scottish Gaelic and a bit of Dutch. They’ll use various terms of endearment in those languages to catch the boys off guard while they work. She’s an absolute terror to work with some times.

Joaquin and Eri usually try to take turns sleeping with Sniper in his van since it’s so small, however, when Eri’s nightmares/night terrors get real bad, they’ll sneak in anyway and just kinda squeeze in wherever they can.

They have a little pre-match ritual where Eri fixes both their collars and sends them off with a kiss on the cheek.

Erilys has a locket with a picture of her brothers on one side and a picture of Sniper and Spotter on the other.

What is it like, to be respawn? How does it feel? Is your first respawn different from other ones?

Subject: Erilys Haven

Designation: Strategist

Supplemental: As stated in previous sessions with the subject, Mx. Haven has difficulty putting into words what she sees while she waits to respawn. I have instructed her to draw what she cannot put into words and those drawings will be attached to the transcripts here.

Dr. Ludwig: So, I know we touched upon this last session, but can you go over once again how the respawn process feels for you, in as much detail as possible?

Erilys: As mentioned before, it’s only painful until you black out. I consider this when you ‘die,’ I guess. Although sometimes, the pain lingers, especially with Pyro. There’s somethin’ about being killed by fire that the respawn machine doesn’t like. Leaves your body all tingly, like when you get the pins ‘n’ needles when your foot falls asleep.

Dr. Ludwig: What about the phenomenon you’ve dubbed ‘lag time,’ the time in between death and respawn?

Erilys: I’ve told you about all I know. I’m sorry it’s not a lot…

Supplemental: At this point, Mx. Haven seems to shut down. I am unable to get any information from them for several minutes. I believe they were trying to recollect their time in respawn. When prompted to draw what they could remember, they produced this drawing.

After a few more seconds of silence Mx. Haven continues.

Erilys: Now a days, it’s more developed. Empty hospital triage. Sometimes I see people on the beds, usually my siblin’s Archie and Lachlan, sometimes Mundy and Joaquin. They always seem dead, but I can’t shake the feeling they really aren’t. I feel eyes on me, all the time. It scares me Doc.

Supplemental: At this point I thought it would be best to wrap up for the day. I could see she was becoming extremely agitated being made to recall all of her experiences with respawn.

What’s most troubling to me is that they are the only one who’s reported a completely dark void when first being put into the machine. I’m assuming that is due to the unprecedented way in which they came to be with us, but further research will need to done before a conclusion can be made.
