Augh it’s so hard to pick One Song from the playlist for this, but I think it’s gotta be:

6. What's a song they'd listen to? What's their taste in music like?

I think Alistair is particularly fond of folk music and lullabies, things that they can hum or sing to themselves. My first thoughts in this regard are A Gloaming Lullaby off the new Emily Axford album and The Parting Glass.

9. What song could an antagonist use to describe their conflicts with Rook?

I mean, it has to be Solas as the antagonist here, so I’m going hunter by Paris Paloma. He loves to insist upon their similarities and make me the player sooo mad.

🌺 Is there an object from Rook’s childhood they look back on fondly? (ie a favorite stuffed animal, book, or food)

back when they were learning sewing and embroidery as a child, the one project it made for itself was a stuffed squid. they were like, 6, so they did NOT have the properly necessary dexterity for it. it was originally named just "squid" but they renamed it to "inky" about a year later. its the ugliest stuffed doll youve ever seen. its made entirely of fabric remnants. theyve had to restuff and repair it about 7 times. it would probably be easier to take it apart and redo it entirely at this point but they refuse to. they cant sleep without it. its the only non-necessity they brought with them when they ran away from home. shoutout to inky i love you inky

🥀 What figure from Rook’s personal past would be added to the regret prison?

their (adoptive) mother! despite the Everything (the gender stuff, the class stuff, the "expecting them to pretend to be human in public" thing, etc), they really do miss what relationship it did have with her. it regrets not fighting harder to try and convince her to....be a better person, i guess? theyre aware its not a logical thought process, and they would make the same choice a million times over, but they do regret that the choice of leaving it all behind was tied to the choice of losing what positive relationship they did have with her. shes probably the hardest part of the prison for arul to get past because of this.

🪻 What is the most painful injury your Rook has received? How has it affected them once it healed/scarred?

definitely the one that gave them the scars on their cheeks! it wasnt the last time the venatori tried to torture them for information, but it was the first, longest, pretty early on during their tenure as a Shadow Dragon, and the only time they weren't able to escape under its own power and give back that pain sevenfold, so it was painful both emotionally and physically. it also didnt help that they were stuck Not doing missions for the Shadows while their injuries healed, so they didnt have that to distract them. they dont really like seeing them in their day-to-day, so their casual body paint very conveniently covers them. they dont want to be ashamed of their scars, though, so it has been slowly adjusting to wearing vitaar patterns that dont hide them when out and about.

🌷If Rook needed to get away from their responsibilities for a moment, where would they go? Where is their safe space outside the Lighthouse?

the Felis Forum in Dock Town, for certain-- after its closure in the wake of the dragon attack on Minrathous, they'd probably find a dark and quiet corner of a rooftop somewhere in Treviso-- maybe atop the abandoned chantry you end up fighting Zara in later on. a place it can go to be alone, save for the cats (or birds), but where they can still hear people moving around their daily/nightly lives in a city setting.
