Joe is made up of 4 broken souls that died in relation to a singular entity. He’s a creature thats constantly shifting between the forms of those that make him up, but he’s managed to stay in the one form that is “Joe”. During the “muppet” era, he couldn’t keep his form, hence the puppet and full black body suit. It’s extremely awkward, his situation. 3 of the souls were actually murdered by the fourth, and the fourth is only a bit less unhinged. He has to actively work to keep that spirit suppressed and keep his form.
Only two people truly survived that entity. The fifth who died in relation to it didn’t even manage to join their little group. He died. Why does he feel guilty for dying? (His old world didn’t even know of other worlds and didn’t even know of/have respawn)
Joe hasn’t told anyone, but three have found out about the split thing either way, with a fourth who suspects something. Xisuma figured it out since he’s the admin and has access to Joe’s code. Impulse can straight up sense souls due to being a demon. Cleo can tell when someone’s undead due to also being an undead and what very confused on why she was getting undead vibes when they met, but eventually figured it out on her own. Keralis can tell when someone’s being linked/tracked by something, but he doesn’t know why or what.
Cleo has the means to contact the two survivors. She hasn’t. She doesn’t even know what to say or if Joe wants her to.
Keralis managed to stop the creature from knowing where Joe is. Or finding Joe. Like a string that just needs to be cut.
