Here’s a song I wrote and recorded with my very first band! It’s one I’m still quite proud of even 13-15 years later. (And actually, all of the 4th Syndicate songs are available for purchase if anyone wants them.)

More 4th Syndicate! This song is about the desire to break free - of abusive situations/relationships, of toxic thought processes, of anything that is holding you down or back from who you want to be. Acknowledging that sometimes you can’t be everything to everyone else, and sometimes the only person you can ‘save’ is yourself? I think it’s something that should be celebrated more.

Wanted to share a really old demo, just me and my old guitarist sitting down and jamming, recording whatever came out. This was done in one take, and as you can hear, was never fully realized. But even still, I like it a lot!

It’s been a busy couple weeks, so I thought I would share one of the more popular (and arguably one of the heaviest!) songs from when I was in 4th Syndicate. Fun fact: the lyrics vaguely reference one of my favourite book series. Can anyone figure out which one? 👀
