I didn't mention that I try to source art to be holier than thou.
Currently at least half of my blog is unsourced shit as far as I can tell. Mostly because it takes a lot if time to source a thousand things.
I just... god you're treating art like a commodity.
Do you not think at all about who made something? If they have other similar works you might love?
Crediting artists isn't some archaic practice followed for no reason.
I say all this as someone who has "its fine to steal my art for both transformative and non transformative purposes without ever crediting me" in my bio btw.
I don't feel this way because Im scared of my shit getting stolen. It just kind if feels like basic respect towards the person who made something you love???
I both somewhat agree with this sentiment and also think it completely lacks nuance in a way that makes it kind of stupid.
Why do people who think it's wrong to be ok consistently talking about the bad things in the world, always sound so goddamn condescending.
I understand how if you have tendencies towards spiralling, you can actually give yourself a fucked up notion of the world and become agoraphobic doing that shit. And its not your fault you need to manage your feed.
But have you considered that you can't apply that as a blanket thing to the whole population of a website and be condescending to the people you think are too involved in discussing and platforming discussions on bigotry.
