It’s Lead Foot Friday! Today I’m going to feature the 1950 Chevy Pickup since it hasn’t had a spotlight on the main page. I have been daily driving it in the nice weather and figured I would give the old gal a holler.

This truck is the heart and soul behind Lead Foot Customs. She’s old, dirty, and quite frankly very rough around the edges. But if it wasn’t for this low, concrete scraping, patina’d piece of work, My husband and I wouldn’t have some of the best memories we share today. The myriad of engine swaps this truck has had all boil down to her current heart being a stock 350 with overdrive. She has a power brake swap, but the steering is still manual. On full air ride, she floats {Most days.} and travels pretty well for a creaky old pickup. She has driven Rt 66 twice, and the Lincoln Highway to Nevada. The body consists of an s10 front clip, and a firebird rear end. She definitely turns heads wherever she goes. My husband has been offered in excess of $11,000 for her, but we know that at the end of it all, she’s special to us beyond words. So here she stays, Part of the Lead Foot Family forever.
