Week 8/52: Chichigüa Today was Independence Day in the Dominican Republic. Wednesday is Ash Wednesday and the road to Holy Week begins. Spring is coming and that means I have to dust off my old kite, or “chichigüa” as it is locally know. This type of chichigua is usually found near the waterfront in Santo Domingo. This one specifically sports our flag and its blue, red and white colors. Seeing it soar up in the sky makes me feel all joyful inside. As an extra, I felt like tweaking up the colors a bit. #52frames_ruleofthirds #52framesphotographers #52frames_photographers (at Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) https://www.instagram.com/p/CagdNEerQNn/?utm_medium=tumblr
