ツイッターでは「全員が大学に行く必要はない」という言説がよくあるけど、これは自分ではない他の誰かを想定したもので、実際に自分の子供が大学進学するかどうかの段になると、「レベルの高くない大学に行くくらいなら高卒で就職せよ」と子供に言える人は必ずしも多くないと思う。
