Oh boy. I made a big mistake today. Not life threatening or anything just a little upset with myself for doing something dumb. I took my night meds this morning instead of my morning meds. This is going to throw my sleep schedule off for the next few day's. I was planning on trying to run a 12/2 line under the house so I could better light my drafting table area and another line so I can finally hook up my mini freezer. But that'd be a bad idea to fall asleep under the house. It's always better to be safe than sorry. So I'm going to try that after I sleep or tomorrow. So instead I've finally gotten back to cleaning this 55 gallon tank that normally houses my gold fish. There temporary home is in a 20 long tank. And one has his own with a couple Corridoras but I know they'd rather be in the larger tank. I'm going to clean and re-seal this tank because I'd let vinegar water sit in it to long. Nit a high concentration but still like I said it's better to be safe than get a soggy bottom. I'm also going to add a center brace and other mods so I can put two glass lids on top. Gotta remember to leave openings for the hang on filters. In time though I plan to hook these tanks up into my aquaponics system. I'll still keep filters for new fish coming in under a 30 quarantine which helps keep any of my fish from possible infections and parasites. I've not ordered any fish for at least a little more than a year now. But I know in the future there will be fancy fish with patterns I just gotta have. (Back to subject 55 gallon) Plus I'll paint three sides since it's between two windows. That will help reduce any algae growth. I'd really rather have a sump though but it's not currently in the budget. I do have one used one but that is kind of scary even after cleaning it out to add possible foreign outdoor bacteria. Day one of the new aquarium! It should cycle quick since the filters and sand were used in my last tank. I don't plan on many plants since I'm leaning towards blackwater (obvs, with those oak leaves) but I found some really nice little cyperus helferi recently that I just loved. They need a bit more light, so we'll see what happens.
