EMG EXG

I really never used the tone knob on any of my guitars, especially on an eight-string guitar. So I decided to swap it out and replace it by the EMG EXG.  It's an active tone control, wich basically mid-scoops your sound up. It raises treble und bass (therefor it's active) and rolls off the mid range. So depending on what I need the guitar sound differs from near-to Bare Knucle Aftermath style to standard sound of my EMG 57-8/66-8. It' a real good option, because it really adds versatility as opposed to a standard tone control, wich just rolls off treble.

EMG 57-8

Loaded with AlNiCo magnets, the EMG 57-8 provides a really transparent, brilliant, but not sharp and kind of evened out tone. It provides lots of output but also an extreme high dynamic range, for an active pickup. The midrange is quite present and gives a bit warmth to the sound, compared to 808-X or 81.
