Outlining for Lore’s thread is over and now I’ve begun writing the first chapter. I feel pretty confident writing a matriarchal character, both a literal mother and as a kind of governing authority (as far as witches can have those). She’s in her 60′s, but is worldly and is adaptable to changes as they come, which is a far cry from what I had originally planned: a sweet, but rigid individual, who could not/would not accept what she couldn’t see. Those characters are boring and I’d rather she have her own problems to work through, as opposed to providing problems for others (except antagonists and outright villains).
