I am a huge fan of Shane Turgeon @shane_turgeon (everyone, check-out his photos!), AND I’m honored to say I know him personally. Here’s more from Shane and info about this stunning photo: ⤵️ A million stars shine over a million grains of sand as the milky way subtly reveals itself through wisps of clouds over a high peak in the Algodones Dunes in California. The report for clear skies was looking good when we left Brawley at 3am but the clouds got worse the longer we spent on the dunes. Turns out some of the first shots of the night were the best and sadly I got skunked from getting the perfectly clear shot of the MW over the dunes I'd been dreaming of.
