Started unpacking the new apartment and I loveee it!!

Went to ikea for the first time (I finally live somewhere that has one) and um jfc it’s so overwhelming but also so fun

Got a cute lamp that looks like Saturn and the ring around it lights up in different colors!

I can tell my cat really likes having some of her old items back — she’s finally starting to relax after many many days of driving and staying in unfamiliar locations

I obvs haven’t seen much of it but I really like this city so far. It really feels super nice and up and coming and there are so many more kinds of food and things to do here and!! Yay can’t wait to explore more

my grad school interview went really well, I think!! I feel I did all I could, so it really is based on their perception of fit now

I took a lovely 2.5 hour nap after interview day

I was actually really encouraged about what I learned about the program — it seems really cool and I love their focus on an interdisciplinary view of health and on social justice

My mom brought me dinner :)

My cat spent the day at my sister’s house and it stressed her out a bit but now she’s so happy and curled up in my chair and I love to see it

Went to birthday lunch and then got pedicures w mom! Was fun and my toes are painted silver

I got my cats meds in the mail and the label said “Matchbox [my last name]” and I was like 🥺🥺 like yes she is part of my family

Watched marcel the shell with shoes on (the movie) and oh my god. I’m not even joking you guys have to see it. It’s so poignant and cute and oh my god. I don’t think I’ll ever recover. I cried. And I don’t cry at anything. Can’t recommend enough. For me it’s top 2 movies of 2022 (that I’ve seen so far) (can’t rank it 1 bc of eeaao but you guys have to see it)

Got ice cream :) yum

Finally folded up the travel bed in my room from when my partner was here like 2.5 weeks ago. Depressions been bad folks but slowly I’m pulling myself out

I actually caught a rerun of the formula 1 race today!! Lucy 1 time zones 0

I literally spent 7 straight hours reading one excellent 300k word fanfic today. I can’t remember the last time I opened one that long on purpose and actually read it to the end

My cat continues to be the cutest and most cuddly being on the planet even though I’m pretty sure she’s going blind in her old age

I’m not too sore from climbing yesterday!! I thought I might be but it’s not the case.

I glanced at indeed. It’s not much but I really didn’t feel up to doing much today so I’m glad I did that!!

I set up many apartment tours for tomorrow and Friday. Feels like I’m losing my mind but… :) apartment

My job is going to let me take unpaid time off in my first week so I can go to homecoming at my school!

I remembered I had some macarons in the fridge so! Yay!

It’s very nice that my family is no longer bothering me about job things

I literally cannot remember what I did today so I guess it wasn’t that bad?

Been feeling not too great mentally recently so I thought I’d bring this back

1) I did a gel electrophoresis from start to finish all by myself and it went great!

2) I caught up on lecture material for organic chemistry — now I just have to study my ass off for the exam tomorrow.

3) In concert band, the composer of one of our pieces Skyped in, and she was so sweet and nice! A very cool experience.

4) My nail polish is on it’s 3rd day, which is the longest I’ve ever gone without picking it off or biting my nails. Nice.

5) My favorite soup was in the dining hall and I ate 3 bowls of it. Worth it tbh.
