any undergrads reading this please learn basic email etiquette and attempt looking at class material before emailing the TA I Beg

#originally this was a whole rant post about some specific instances that a student is causing this summer #but this kind of stands for everyone #I mean for the love of god at least include a subject line. people aren’t including subject lines #can you believe? like I have 50ish students to keep track of rn you gotta give me some details #anyway one student has emailed me 4 times this week (it is Tuesday) and the emails were not even about things that matter #or that could not have been figured out in literally 5 min #if this was a first instance I wouldn’t even be making this post but this is the 3rd week now of this and I simply had to vent somewhere #like it’s to the point where I actually have to allot specific time to emailing this student bc I know she will be asking about why she got #an 85 instead of an 87 on a tiny assignment or asking me where to find info in the slides and textbook when it is So Clear #truly I like TAing and I actually like answering students and helping them #but please don’t take advantage of me :(#grad school life #lucy speaks

"Grace doesnt have enough food on the jorney to Erid" yeah but Rocky does. Rocky has plenty, in fact, Rocky had enough food for 23 eridians for a bit over 30 years (because they were also expected to make the jorney back) Rocky has so much food, and he cant give any to grace because it will kill him. Every meal he makes he can hear Grace's body slowly collapsing in on itself from hunger. Rocky has to sit there, with way more than enough food for 2 and still watch his best friend starve to death.

The four most interesting parts of time loop are when the person kills themselves for the first time, when they kill someone else for the first time (in a fuck around kind of way, this doesn't count if they already were killing people outside of the loop), how they break the loop, and the weeks afterward where they loose their fucking minds in an entirely different, significantly more damaging to the world around them way. And yet I rarely see anything done with that last one. People leave time loops and are all happy go lucky 'oh boy'. Where's the grappling with people you know who will never know you? Where's the knowledge that the safety of the loop is gone, and you can't fix any mistakes you make? That's the good angst I want
