HM W11 D1: 5 Mile Run - Accidental 5K PB! :)
After yesterday's 6 miles capping off the week there was no messing around today as I got out again for a nice solid 5 miles.
I have set myself the target of a Minimum 20 miles a week for February, and as I run Mon, Weds, Fri and Sunday I have also upped my minimum distance to 5 miles. That is unless I do some extra running (Parkrun for example).
Loving the new Garmin. It went out for its first proper test run today. Apart form taking a while to locate some Satellites (or Stat-e-lites as they are affectionately known by any Only Fools and Horses fans! lol) it worked awesomely.
... I knew my times were likely to drop some now I have a more accurate device, but I have to say it was a shock getting a PB without trying for it! lol ... I always check my 5K Split out of habit, especially on runs of 4/5 miles!
Pretty pleased with today's run as its always nice to get a PB. I will be attending my Local Parkrun (A FREE timed 5K run) on Saturday, so ill be giving it the beans and hoping to beat that record first time out! :)
