Good morning bookworms! Lately, I've been very hard on myself. When things seem to continually go wrong..I fall in a hole of some self-bashing. I want to grab a hold of something before I hit the bottom of this hole, so I have decided to participate in the #5piecesofselflove tag. Today, with social media constantly reminding us we are not perfect enough, we have to remember it's all a lie. There is no such thing as perfect and there never will be. The boxes we put ourselves in with these unreachable expectations for ourselves is toxic. You will never look like the girl you "goals" on a picture. That's not something to be sad about, you should celebrate it. No one is like you. So be you. Unapologetically, you. Here are 5 pieces of some self love for myself. 1. I feel. Some say it's a curse, some say a blessing. I've recently learned it's a blessing to me. I'm a crier, everything honestly makes my tear ducts produce. It's not a weakness by any means and I've grown to learn that. I love to feel. It reminds me I'm alive. It reminds me I have a heart. And it reminds me that the world needs someone like me to feel all the feelings, even if it becomes overwhelming at times. 2. I love my sense of fashion. It's different and always makes me happy. To create and make outfits is so much apart of me, I wouldn't feel whole without it. 3. My candor. It sometimes hurts without the intention too. I'm a bad liar and I'm glad for that--no one likes a liar. Knowing people feel they can come to me a receive honesty gives me a sort of pride. Just remember! You asked for it 😊 4. I love my passion for reading. I always escape into books but that is not all. Books help shape my beliefs and who I am. Every read I learn something new --sometimes shifting my beliefs in a more understanding direction. It's beautiful and I wouldn't trade it for any other hobby. 5. I admire my growth. I am constantly looking back on who I was and the choices I made and I wouldn't want to change a thing. My experiences have molded me into the person I am today and although I'm still on my journey, the direction I'm going and the roads I'm taking are all the ones that will continue to shape me.
