It may only be mid January but Bromsgrove based singer-songwriter Heinz-Sight (Simon to his friends) has already released the most the important and honest single of the year in 5Shocks. Simon has always been an open book when it comes to his battles with mental health and with 5Shocks he put these trials and tribulations down on disc in a bid to help others, urging the listeners to reach out and never suffer in silence.
Musically Heinz-Sight delivers his message by blurring genres, laid back rapped verses give way to an instantly infectious choral pop hook, whilst a simple yet contagious piano melody runs through-out the duration of the track drawing the listener in and framing Simon's heartfelt lyrics, whilst a spoken word plea, breaks the track up, adding to the poignancy of the track urging anyone who's suffering to pick up the phone.
