After some years under Jin Keisuke's guidiance Apollo Geist would have changed quite a bit. Enough that one who knew him previously would barely be able to reconize him. At least if he changed physically as much as he does mentally. He still wears that white suit of his.
Though it was his idea and his own choice to quit being evil to stay by Jin Keisuke's side to protect him and help him out it didn't mean that the change would be easy. He found himself constantly trying to do things to get his mind off the fact he now had to completely change not just how he did things but also how he thought and spent his days. Everything was going to be new. He had many panic attacks of sorts and moments where he almost went on a sort of killing spree just to be evil again, but with Jin's help, he did his best to work through it.
Though for a time he does turn evil again, but it is short lived.
Being a hero was so hard. None of Jin's choice of actions made sense to the man. Why not blow up the building with all the grunts and the evil cyborg inside instead of trying to defeat them all one by one? Isn't that less productive and takes more time and has more of a chance of the enemy escaping? Why purposely let enemies get away just to fight them in a new location? Why do you have to damage yourself to protect the bodies of other people? Why not gain more resources to help with searches instead of having to figure things out so little on your own for the most part? None of it seemed effective or logical to his mind and he HATED this life, if it wasn't for the fact it was still a life where he was next to Jin.
It was one day when Keisuke was trying to explain things to Apollo for his mind to understand it did something finally click to help him move on to almost feeling a sense of pride [though over time it does grow into a true sense of pride in his work in being able to be a hero and do things these /harder/ ways]
Jin spoke to him and stated that he was confused to why the man didn't enjoy fighting all these enemies and always wanted to kill them easily. "I thought you'd feel more pride in destroying them with your own two hands, with your own power." .. He had no grunts anymore, it was just him and Jin and sometimes Jin had him work on his own. He was defeating these cyborgs on his own with no grunts to weaken or tire out the enemy or even distract while he fought. Instead he fought against the hoards and still won. That, that was a reason to be prideful and to enjoy it.
But that accepting of being good was only one part of what made this guy a lot different than he used to. This part being a lot bigger and that's his personality had gotten a complete change.
Since opening up with Keisuke and spending time with him, he tried to keep his old personality for a while, but that was something he quickly learned wouldn't work. His attitude caused him to make all around him distant he was trying to befriend and especially if he wanted to get close to Jin, he'd have to finally let himself open up. Maybe let himself nerd out around Jin so he can see that he wasn't just a grumpy cold guy.
Though what ended up happening was he did more than just open up and nerd out. He learned to laugh with Jin, to goof off and have some fun. Though the major shifter in this was when Jin Keisuke realized that Apollo Geist's love for him was actually forced to occure by Great Leader himself. The man actually purposely made Apollo get feelings for Jin, though even now neither knows why he thought that was a good idea. After realizing this whole time he was being used as a pawn and manipulated in that way he wanted to make his crush on Jin be not taken as a bad thing. He wanted to use it as an excuse to at least try to start over. After all, he couldn't go back any longer so it was the only thing he could try to naturally follow.
Cooking for Jin, going out with him for coffee, fighting along his side. Though Jin stated he kept Apollo close to him to make sure to look after him to know he isn't hurting, Apollo honeswtly thinks he's happy to have his company and him as a parter. .. Secretly Apollo thinks there's another reason for it and it makes him feel jealous, but since Jin never actually made proof that it was a real thing he keeps his jealousy quiet.
The biggest inperation though to Apollo to change? Was meeting Jin's senors and talking to them over his situation and his own future. How they treated him, how they actually had hope for him, and how they even seemed to offer a hand if he needed it and a desire to become his friend actually pushed him more to continue working on changing. After all, now he actually was surounded in people who cared and wasn't just a bunch of idiots who were following orders, really badly, and wanted to keep him around.
