If you need a hand, Rose has 6 to offer!
Ref sheet commission for Chief of the Lost.
I dug out an old theory and even though this still hasn’t truly been addressed in canon, I’m sure you’ve all speculated on it 😅
Still it’s fun to have things in writing, so here we go—
Janus and his 6 arms—
But WHY? Why is he the only one with 6 arms?
And then it hit me...
6 sides
6 arms for 6 sides
6 sides PLUS Janus equals 7
Roman said that if Thomas doesn’t want I know something, Janus can keep their mouths shut. THIS IS HOW HE DOES IT. He PUPPETEERS each side with each arm.
You want proof? Check out what he’s holding in the bottom left hand. A gavel. And who was playing with a gavel in SvS?
You want more proof? Check out how each arm had the correct ‘Bible’ to swear on for each side in the courtroom scene! Each arm is tailor made for each side...
But wait, that doesn’t equal 6? There are only 6 sides total including Janus!
This is another place the Orange side shows he’s bleeding through the cracks.
But I’ve figured it out. Here’s the clincher. The main reason why it’s so easy for Janus to puppeteer and control the other sides, keeping their mouths shut to keep things from Thomas is because ALL THE SIDES LIE.
And that’s what gives Jan his power. They all lie and need him to hide things from each other and from Thomas.
Patton lies about being happy almost all of the time. Roman lies to hide his insecurities so it doesn’t seem like he’s failing. Virgil lies to protect Thomas and he’s definitely lying about what he knows about Janus and his own past. And Logan lies about having feelings and how much things effect him emotionally.
Fun right? Lol
Just another thing they’ll have to deal with in the season finale, I assume 😁
