#6081 5e Baron Dame de Pique (2020) (Rye) (Canada) Last night I crushed the OG DdP with coffee from Brown Bag, tonight I’m on the rye barrel-aged version with Guatemalan coffee and mate, she’s glorious. Coming in at 10%, it pours jet black with an espresso head and a boozy nose, the body is creamy and not overly thick, it’s sweet with the rye coming through immediately, the bitter, fruity coffee shines through the dark chocolate and oak rye barrels, it’s balanced, smooth and the booze isn’t overwhelming, subtle vanilla, sticky with a slightly dry, tannic finish.
