Hey im sure youre sick of interactions from that poll but i was wondering. You said you follow some post-heavy blogs got any recommendations? Quite a few of those i follow have fallen off over the years so its rather easy to finish my dash within 30mins these days

Imma be honest I didn’t know “syscourse” was a thing because I never even knew that systems were supposed to be formed by trauma. I assumed DID was just. Idk a disorder that just anyone could have like any other mental illness? (Note that I’ve never looked into it that deeply.) I’ve met a few people with alters and never really questioned it lmao. Like if you say you’re a system then like okay. Who am I to argue. So the idea that people are saying you can’t somehow become a system is ridiculous to me because as far as I’m concerned, your mental or medical health can change like at any point in your life? Yeah, childhood trauma accounts for at least the vast majority of DID/OSDD systems. Whether it's possible to arrive there without trauma is unprovable either way, but it seems it's best to just believe what people say about themselves. If someone's wrong about their trauma, they're more likely to figure it out by being more integrated in plural spaces.

All that aside, this is a bit of a case of agreeing with whoever you hear first. Of course you're happy to hop on board with me after hearing only my perspective, but you'd probably do the same if you had first heard an anti-endo talking about how a bunch of people are faking DID. Then again, the vitriolic hate in their tags would be a red flag.

Anyway, do your own research, etc., into the processing vortex you go

I'm sorry people are being so hateful to you over that poll, it deffinitly underestimated how most people use this sight yes, but it's not an oversight that deserved such hate, you seem like a pretty cool person, I hope you'll be able to enjoy your stay here

Also 30 is insane. The for you page is only so good, I find it incredibly repetitive because it’ll only really show you the same 3 types of posts.

Everyone has a different tumblr experience, I know people irl who use it exclusively to search tags. So no big deal if this is how you want to use it. But you gotta know these responses are because tumblr users are a) very anti algorithm/tracking, b) hate superfluous tumblr functions, c) love following every second blog they see

But! As an explanation for why we follow so many people, the typical user experience is as follows:

1. Join tumblr, empty dash :/

2. Find something you enjoy out in the real world! Look it up in the search function on tumblr

3. Find relevant blogs in that tag! Follow them!!

4. Profit (a full dash). If you follow enough people (usually at least 100 active blogs), your dash should never stagnate and so it functions essentially like a “for you” page that you’ve cultivated yourself without need for an algorithm. Plus you can unfollow any single user or tag at any time to completely change the vibe of your feed.

you know you're allowed to leave the app before you reach the bottom of your dash right. you don't have to see every post. there's no tumblr demon keeping you here. if you have specific people you wanna know when/what they post, that's what blog notifs are for? fill your garden with more things on god, you are experiencing tumblr as a barren wasteland

Don't want notifications going off all day and because I'm still living with my parents that might turn bad anyway. 4+ posts per hour is not a barren wasteland. I have plenty of other things to do.

hello! given your poll you may want to check out some of the welcome to tumblr type posts from the 196 migration. also make sure you have ai scraping turned off (it's under blog settings > visibility) if you haven't been keeping up w the updates!

for extension recommendations, you can get xkit rewritten for better blog functionality (auto tags, tag bundles, tag replacer, etc) and disable ads. dashboard unfucker was also really good (so you might see references to it) but it broke in the last couple updates.
