These are in reverse order, but it seems I may have found what is causing the hydraulic lifter noise. I’m pretty sure that there is supposed to be oil dripping out of the rocker arm shaft, but there isn’t. I tried priming the pump by removing the distributor and driving the oil pump with a power drill, but nothing came out. I then tried priming the pump with oil under the distributor, and still nothing came out. So now I’m left wondering if I have a failed oil pump or if I put the head gaskets on the wrong way. Guess imm have to go back through my pictures to make sure I didn’t do it wrong.
