Write something about Zuko and Katara have to like attend a party at Sokka and Suki's place, Zuko is already dressed and he's waiting up on Katara to finish getting dressed, when she comes out of their closet she's wearing this new dress she got to surprise Zuko and she looks absolutely stunning, Zuko sees her and is speechless!
Ineffable Limerence
“How are you not dressed yet, Katara?” Zuko eyed her from the doorway, she’d come upstairs to change nearly an hour ago, but somehow was still only wearing his robe as she lay sprawled out on the bed.
“Can’t we just stay home? …I’ll make it worth your while.”
“As much as I’d like that,” he smiled, moving to the bed and crawling on so that his knees straddled her hips and his hands were positioned by either side of her head. “You promised your brother we’d be there and if we don’t show up he might start thinking I’m a bad influence on you.”
“But you are a bad influence,” she grinned, pulling him down into a kiss by the collar of his shirt.
He let her have her way for a minute before sitting back up. “Alright, we’re gonna be late. Can you please get dressed now?”
She frowned a little when he pulled away before letting out a mischievous hum. “If that’s really what you want…” Her fingers traced the golden lining of the robe she wore before slowly undoing the knot that held the fabric together in the front.
“Kaaat,” Zuko whined as he hovered above her. She was such a tease, but someone had to be the responsible one here. Going against everything both his mind and his body—particularly the lower region—wanted him to do, he stood up. But that action took all the will power he had and left him unable to tear his eyes away as her robe slid open to display the entirety of her bare body to him. “Katara,” his voice was dry and sounded weak, “we have to go. It’s… It’s, uh, Suki’s birthday and she’s my brothe—your brother’s girlfriend and…” his voice died off. He was weak. So weak.
Rather annoyed that he didn’t give in and not realizing that if she’d waited just a few more seconds, she would have gotten her way, Katara hissed the word “Fine.”. She stood up without any more protesting and strode over to their closet, feeling his eyes follow even as she shut the door between them.
Even once she was out of sight, it still took Zuko a minute for thoughts other than those Katara had just planted in his head. After pacing and staring at the clock watching five-ten-twenty minutes go by, Zuko flopped back on their bed. “Kat, hurry up.”
“I’m almost ready, hold on.”
Another twenty minutes had nearly passed before he finally heard the door of the dressing closet slide back open. “Finally, let’s g-ohh…” He had no words. She wore a black dress with gold swirling designs that drew attention to all the right covers of her frame and had a neckline that plunged to just above her navel and was held closed by a gilded ring between her breasts. The bottom of the dress was short and tight, showing off her toned, mocha-colored legs under the second skirt of sheer fabric that would have brushed the floor had she not been wearing heels.
“Do I look okay?” she asked hesitantly as she adjusted the placement of hair. Based on the way his mouth gaped open, she was pretty sure she knew the answer, but wanted to be sure.
“Kat, you look… wow. Just… yeah, wow.” He couldn’t take his eyes off her, even as they walked down the stairs and out to the car. “Suri, is going to hate you for looking better than her at her own party.”
Katara smirked as he fumbled with the handle trying to open her door for her. “You mean Suki?”
“Oh, yeah, her.” He was still staring. She’d always been beautiful, but tonight… tonight even the Gods themselves would be jealous.
“Thanks, Zuko,” she smiled taking his hand once he’d gotten in and started the car.
“Wait, for what?”
“Just… for being you.”
