フリーの身分になって痛感するんですけど、例えば「一般常識に欠けているけれど、音楽や美術に飛び抜けて優れた才能を持っている」って人、フリーに向いていないと思うんですよ。どちらかといったら会社組織に入って、サポートする人材に守られたほうがその才能を発揮できるというか……。

JOAN'S AUDACITY TO BE LIKE YOU CANT BE A DOCTOR BECAUSE YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY A SERVANT AND OBVIOUSLY [RACIAL COMMENT] I JUST the first time around I watched this (as a teen) the people around me CONSTANTLY downplayed all the racism that was written into this show and the racism that Martha went through as if it was something she had DESERVED for being the SECOND PERSON after Rose. It was just horrendous, just thinking back to those days and hearing those comments; and then realizing exactly how they reacted years later, a decade later re: racism in general
