Branching out
As a scream rang out through the night, the giant bird changed course mid-flap of her wings. Flying wasn’t too hard for the large corvine, after all, before growing a beak she had experience with flying before. Shapeshifter, after all. Wings were easier to do than zippers, albeit more draining to do. Anything large took up a lot of energy, let alone to change her limbs and hold the form while doing an action like taking flight- yeah, it wasn’t something she did just for fun! Even if she had did the very same before.
Hearing the sound of another cry for help get cut off by a thud, Raven picked up her pace. Someone else had caught prey, and if things went according to plan, the victim would be hers soon enough. She effortlessly swooped into the alley, letting out a mighty caw from her chest as she took the minotaur creature by surprise. Before he even had the chance to react, black feathers were lifting both bird and prey out of the tight space and into the sky.
The beast billowed out a sound of rage, and almost mockingly, Raven decided to land within eyesight. A large oak had quickly become her new perch, one where she dropped the prey over the branch of and happily ripped into the flesh. She easily picked out the tender organs, each one getting tossed back in her beak as she ate. All the while, the minotaur-creature ponded at the tree base to try and disturb the bird that stole his kill.

hmm
Do you think the concept of an hour only having sixty minutes was created by Christians/Catholics because then there could be a 6:66 time?
