killer bee makes awful puns at the wrong time. he confesses saying “you ocotopi my thoughts and my heart” and kisame threatens to never speak to him again.

kisame refuses to let anyone else wield his sword except for killer bee. but it’s not like he had a choice in the end because samehada acts like an affectionate dog around killer bee anyway. don’t tell him that though

Headcanon A: realistic

Iruka fidgets a lot with whatever is in his hands. He’ll twirl a pen between his fingers as he’s explaining the chakra pathways to his students or he’ll uncap and recap the pen while reading a report. He also ends up with a lot of marks on his palms, but that’s okay.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Iruka apologizes to inanimate objects he bumps into. He’ll accidentally hip check a chair and go ‘oh, pardon me’ and casually go about his day not realizing he did it unless someone points it out.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Iruka keeps his mother’s spirit alive in the little things for a while. Like picking up clothes without his hands, softly greeting every plant in the house, and feeding every stray he comes across. But the most he’s ever felt his mother close by and in his heart is when he stood over Naruto, taking the shuriken and bleeding out of his mouth as he made a silent promise to the heavens that if he couldn’t survive this, Naruto at least would.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Iruka is trans, has a prosthetic right arm and burn scars. I WILL die on this hill.

How I feel about this character

My starshine, my sun, my everything, MY DAD. He is my most favorite character in the entirety of naruto because out of everyone he’s been in my heart since I was in, like, middle school.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

In order it’d be: Gai, Kakashi, then Yamato. (don’t @ me!! I’m like in my own corner with scenarios of him just being happy.)

My non-romantic OTP for this character

NARUTO his son, and Ibiki and Anko.

My unpopular opinion about this character

His backstory in the fillers……we didn’t need those Like That lol. I can think of a million ways to make his background with Naruto better and still be true to his apprehensive nature toward the kyuubi sealed inside him. He literally states that he wishes he did a better job with naruto–that at all does not mean he was cold and ignored his existence tf and naruto’s flashbacks towards his lessons show iruka cared about his education

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

More fucking scenes in general. More delving into his skills because the databooks can’t call him a well-rounded shinobi and highly respected by his peers and not show it in canon. That’s a disservice.
