I'm always so sad that there isn't a bigger Fandom here for Hell's Belles or 6ft Incorporated (Death and Martha). You'd think they'd be right up Tumblr's collective alley. Jaysea and flickerspark make such top tier stuff.

Everyone will argue all day about the value of cinematography in long form content and film but I don't think people appreciate how much good cinematography can elevate short form content.

Take Bistro Huddy and 6 ft inc for example (because they are my current obsessions)

The way that Drew shoots most of his videos makes you feel like the space you are in is a large restaurant that feels entirely different from the cramped space of the bar or the line. This is mostly down to the angles that he uses. Unlike most of the "one person plays everyone" series, Drew's camera angles vary the same way a short film with multiple actors would. Also, he knows how to make a scene feel alive when necessary. Character will just walk around in the background passing by for no other reason than to make the restaurant seem alive.

On the entire flip side, we have 6ft inc. Instead of shooting it to imply a big space, the shots are tighter and more intimate. Martha's office feels like a cozy space instead of the liminal void that most of these series feel like. And it's not just down to angles, Nova is amazing at using eyelines and dynamic character movements to imply that all of these characters really exist in the same space, just out of frame from each other.

I just really like the silly video series and want more people to appreciate the craft that goes into these.

Things I need from flickerspark_'s 6 foot inc. series:

- What Martha's life was like before she died

- Death's first pickup

- Michael and the serial killer getting engaged

- Martha and Death getting all dressed up (and Death's gay panic at seeing Martha all dressed up)

- Actually getting to meet Consequences

- Someone flirting with Martha and Death getting possessive (this one is for me personally (:< )

Finally got my hands on Jaysea Lynn's For Whom the Belle Tolls book (the one the Hells Belles short series is based on) and I think its so funny the juxtaposition of death in that series and flickerspark's 6ft inc. (death and martha) series

When you die in the hell belles universe it is a moment of cosmic nonexistance before someone walks you through the process of judgement and the afterlife, your soul file is your story to tell, it is a new beginning

When you die in flickerspark's death and martha series, Death shows up, you have a high chance of either getting sassed, involuntary therapy, or roped into whatever office drama just so happened to be going on when your file showed up, and your file will be read and that is a threat, your death is merely the backdrop for shenanigans (unless you get main charactered, sorry Michelle Michael)
