To celebrate his birthday today, 6lack decided to bless us with this new track, likely from his upcoming EP. Last week he announced that he had a new EP titled 6pc Hot that would be coming soon and if my count is right, this is the second song from the project that we’ve gotten to preview off the project (the first being “ATL Freestyle”). I loved this song as soon as I heard his infectious voice over the production. 6lack has a knack for picking great beats that match with his vocals perfectly. I think him formerly being a rapper has helped when it comes to being able to pick such good production that is outside of the typical R&B sound. The content of the track also leads me to believe this is actual new music and not a previous throwaway that he’s using to add on the upcoming EP. Between both this and the “ATL Freestyle,” I’m ready to hear the project so hopefully it’ll be coming real soon.
