A dream cane true recently - Beautiful Kriesler 11-91 “Multi Sonic Stereo Hi Fi” Stereogram - it came with about 200 shellac 78s, Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Sam Cooke, Ella Fitzgerald, Hank Williams, Slim Whitman, Marty Robbins, Everly Brothers, Johnny Ray, The Crickets, Duane Eddy, Carl Perkins… to name a few, like I said dream come true

ok i gotta go to bed but if you can see stereograms can u tell me how i did on this one. can u see the eschatos. the depth map is under the cut but NO CHEATINGG u gotta see the stereogram first. crosses my arms real stern and intimidating.

i wish i could use a prettier image than plain noise but idk how at the moment cuz im just using a random website

stereograms taken on a fujifilm finepix real 3d w3. tips on how to view the 3D effect under the cut :)

a stereogram is a 2D image or pattern (a.k.a. a "magic eye" pattern) that can trick your brain into seeing a 3D image. to see the effect, you have to play with focus.

the easiest way to do it is to look at something far away (e.g. the other side of the room), then raise the image up in front of your eyes while keeping your eyes focused in the distance. then, try moving the image backwards and forwards until the 3D effect pops out. it's much easier to make it work on a small screen like a phone.

alternatively, if you have a VR headset, you should be able to see the 3D effect through that!

how it works: the stereogram consists of two very similar images taken from slightly different angles, which mimics the effect of seeing real life 3D objects with your left and right eyes. you should be "seeing double" when your eyes are unfocused - try to overlay the two sides of the image in your vision.

some people find that the 3D effect appears reversed, i.e. objects in foreground appear in the background and vice versa. if this is happening, let me know and i'll post the reversed versions.

I'm gonna call this Star Wars Week instead of just May the 4th because I love this space odyssey a lot =)

It's especially special because of how my parents grew up with it in theaters. My maternal uncle (who's sadly passed) was an EXTRA big fan, and passed a lot of cool things on to us, like this 1995 Magic Eye Calendar! I thought it was fake for a long time but it really does work!

Click on one of the images above to make it bigger. The trick is to relax/blur your eyes and a 3D shape will pop out from the texture! You can try getting really close to the picture then backing up slowly, or trying to "look past" the picture as if you were trying to see far away.
