441 meals served Saturday, July 13, 2013 at St. Joseph's Soup Kitchen in Greenwich Village
SJSK's Director and longtime volunteer, Connie Fitzgerald, displays the lunchtray served to guests. A crowd favorite of Mac-n-cheese, salad greens, bread, cookie, coffee and lemonade were on the day's menu.
An avid live music and sports enthusiast, Connie makes volunteering at SJSK a great experience with her kind, Midwestern, down-to-earth work ethic—Michigan is her home state!
Connie is a parishioner at St. Joseph's Church and has been actively participating in volunteer service for nearly 20 years! Connie's spirit of making positive social change in the world can be seen in her passion for water advocacy. So, think twice before you buy that disposable water bottle, instead look for a reusable water bottle instead!
