TXF Updates (July 26th)
When Louis arrives, he’s the first to say hi and hug all the judges. (x)
After one contestant, Louis said “I was just thinking how proud I’d be if this was one of my grandparents, and I know my decision will annoy Simon, so it’s a yes.” (x)
When there was a boy onstage, Louis said he thinks he’s very young and the crowd booed, but then Louis said that when One Direction was put together, they were around 16, so it’s doable. (x/x)
When Simon said something and was booed, Louis said “YES YES YES, tell him!” (x)
Louis told the crowd to hype it up for one contestant (based on the timing of this tweet, this was probably for Anthony, the contestant mentioned in the next several bullet points). (x)
After a contestant named Anthony Russell got into six chair last year but didn’t feel he was ready, Louis contacted him and offered him the help he needed. Now he’s back, and Louis said it was nice getting to know him and that he knows he’s had struggles that he can talk about it if he wants to. (x)
Louis cried and then said “I’ve got to pull myself together after that, just give me a minute, I’m quite emotional.” He kept saying sorry and coughing and then said he didn’t think he should vote because he’s biased and they’re too close. (x/x/x)
Simon told Anthony he was lucky to find his mentor in Louis. (x)
After Anthony performed, Louis went up on stage and hugged him. (x/x)
Louis hugged Anthony again and went backstage with his arm around him. (x/x)
Simon asked if a contestant had seen a certain movie and he said “I’m afraid not, sir,” and Louis said “it was before both our times, lad, don’t worry.” (x)

Louis used a small fan to cool himself down again. (x)
Louis and the rest of the judges gave a standing ovation to one contestant. (x)
Simon asked to split a group up and Louis told them “What you’ve just done there has stolen my heart. You are so so loyal and it worked out.” (x)
