Around 25 years ago I used to visit grandpa by train. About when I started going to school, buses to his villege were introduced and we never went by train again.
I have clear memories with the railways and the trail to/from the villege which I must have walked a dozen times with my familly. I went to see it after 25 years and I was pleased to see it is still functional and someone actually walked the trail to the villege with me. There used to be far more people in the past, but at least it is still in use and I would say well mantained.
