Okay. Rant time.
Having an opinion is fine. It’s actually great. Liking or disliking a character/movie/the characterisation of someone/being critical of adaptations is perfectly valid. Hell, I’ll even admit that I didn’t like Wanda when I first watched Age of Ultron, but I grew to love her once I became a part of this fandom and got to know her.
Opinions are good! It’s fun to debate with someone about characters and movies! I enjoy defending stuff! As long as it’s friendly!
But when someone (gonna talk specifically about Vision and Wanda antis here) sends shit to someone when they simply POST about a character they like, that’s not okay! You’re not edgy for calling Vision a microwave! You’re not funny for calling Wanda Wendy or Wednesday! Don’t tell someone you don’t like a character when their post had nothing to do with it, don’t reblog posts that OP spent hours making with some pointless comment that spreads hate on an originally positive post, and don’t! send! people! threats! for! liking! a! character!
A lot of people who love Tony hate Wanda, that’s fair, hate Wanda all you want, but they aimlessly shit on Wanda to try and up Tony. It’s like if they say one good thing about a character it’ll put down the character they do like and??? it’s so confusing. Idk if this makes sense. Lowkey mad.
