Sunday morning with Dan Boardman
This is the second Houseboat press publication i've had up here and it's of the exact same format as the first. Dan Boardman's "72 second window" is a beautifully laid out spiral bound, laser printed book. I really like the DIY aesthetic that Houseboat utilizes for these books. I enjoy knowing that the photographer had a hand in putting the book together from start to finish. The spreads of this book are very diverse and the groups or pairings always flow nicely, quietly through the spreads. Flipping through, the latter half of the book especially, I'm reminded of Paul Grahams work "A Shimmer of Possibilities". The reoccurring portraits of people performing unusual tasks tied together with obviously related details presents a flow that's pretty next level. Houseboats website looks rad to so go check it out.
